The essential oil is distilled from the herb, which grows all over Europe. This oil has a deep ink-blue color due to the high content of azulene, which imparts its anti-inflammatory properties. It contains bisabolol known for relaxing the muscular lining of the digestive system. The tea has many uses including the relieving stomach cramps, period pains, insomnia, and any kind of skin irritation or inflammation. Its anti-spasmodic action makes this oil valuable in asthma blends. Research shows it increases white blood cell activity which is your body’s first line of defense against infection.
